I had forgotten that June 24, 1945, Moscow hosted the legendary first Victory Parade.
That rainy day in Red Square Capital honored the winners of fascism. The parade Marshal Rokossovsky, and took - Marshal Georgy Zhukov.
The idea is to take hits on the white horse was to the Supreme Commander, ie Joseph Stalin, but later Zhukov told the son of the leader, Basil - allegedly Stalin had to take hits himself, but by training, fell from his horse and sosolavshis that he was "too old to take the parades," Zhukov entrust the matter. < br />
An interesting detail: marching on Red Square, our troops have turned his head to trubune Mausoleum, welcoming and saluting the Politburo, and passing by the Allied Representatives (so long to delay the opening of a second front), as if defiantly did not, holding his head straight.
It is also curious that the gloves bearers rushed to the Mausoleum of 200 captured German banners (the first was thrown into Hitler's personal standard), after the parade had been burned. Such is the disinfection of the fascist plague.
It is not clear why after spending a grand parade in 1945, Stalin no longer ustravival no celebrations on June 24 or May 9th. And only in 1965 the Victory Day became an official holiday with us and parades were held on May 9 on a regular basis.
The first Victory Parade was shot numerous photographs, and was filmed on video, including and color of film trophy (videossylki also attached).
