Great holiday Muslims
In Muslim countries and regions this week - the first in the holy month of Ramadan, a time when the faithful abstain from food, drink, during the day, and only with the sunset devout Muslims eat traditional food and sweets. This month, the faithful should also read the entire Quran, to give alms to the poor and strengthen their ties with the Lord through prayer. The purpose of fasting - to learn humility, patience and sacrifice, and to ask forgiveness, practice self-restraint, and pray for guidance in the future. This year, Ramadan will continue until Saturday, September 19th.
