Pink exoplanet

At a distance of about 57 light years from Earth, astronomers have discovered a new planet purple. This is the second planet, the color of which astronomers were able to observe directly; was the first HD 189733b. No less striking is the fact that GJ 504b casts doubt on the theory of the formation of modern planet.

The new exoplanet proportionate to Jupiter, but four times its weight. At the moment, it is the planet with the lowest weight, which managed to get the image directly through the 8, 2-meter Subaru Telescope Observatory in Hawaii. Astronomers believe that GJ 504b is one of the oldest exoplanets (approximate age ranges from 100 to 500 million years).
