Potyazhelevshy Pont des Arts
One of the most romantic places in Paris and suffering under the threat of collapse because of the fun tradition that has ceased to be a really innocent. We are talking about the Pont des Arts and the tradition that loving couples hang on the fence locks as a sign of the fortress and the continuity of their union.
How are the consequences for the senses, we can not say, but the only bridge over the last three years has become harder to twelve tons (!) Seems to be not so much for this kind of structures, but the fact that he pedestrian and initially was not calculated at high loads. What decides the municipality, while unknown, however, if the bridge is closed, it will, though sad, but not the first time. He has already been closed in 1977 because it has suffered great during the Second World War. And then, in 1979, sixty meters collapsed buildings in a collision barges. So it restored and reopened only in 1984.
And the place is very honored. It was built by order of Napoleon from 1802 and was commissioned in 1804. The first iron bridge in Paris, among other things. Here hang artists, photographers (with a wonderful view of the bridge on the waterfront), and just a company with guitars in the evening going to the picnic.
