This is Barnaushe Baltakhanov or, as he was also called in Siberia, Buryat Nostradamus. For his 94 years, Bornashka (another nickname) has told mankind a lot of interesting things. But he wasn't always clairvoyant. Until the age of 20 he lived an almost ordinary life of peasants.

Barnaushe Baltakhanov was born into a very poor family and was forced to work in foreign fields, like his whole family from an early age. Because of hard work, he had no time to learn to read, so Bornashka could not read and write.



Because of bad speech, the children laughed at him and Barnausche grew up a shy, thin young man. Everything changed in one day. While harvesting the crop, Barnauche felt someone's gaze. Turning around, he saw the niece of the owner he was working for. The girl began to come to the field every day and watched him, trying to talk to Barnauche. He remained silent, ashamed of his ignorance.

The girl's family learned of such a strange friendship. One day, after a hard day’s work, the guy was badly beaten and both his arms were broken. It was this incident that changed Barnauche’s life. As his hands healed, he began to notice that his hands were much faster than before.



When he was 22 years old, he had severe headaches. Barnauche noticed that when he put his hands on his forehead, the headache went away. So he discovered the gift of a healer. His hands could pull the pain out of the sore spot. People came to him from different places with diseases in the hope of healing.

What is known to Barnaushe Baltakhanov Barnaushe had another gift. He could influence objects from a distance. Eyewitnesses told about the miracles of Barnausch and the fame of him quickly spread throughout Siberia.



Today he is called one of the most famous soothsayers of the 20th century. He left his usual life and began to wander around the villages and cities. He could knock on the window at any time of the day. When he was allowed into the house, he leaned against the stove and, being in a state of trance, began to tell what awaited the inhabitants of this house.

The locals knew that at this point he needed to listen carefully and ask questions. He could say different things, but everyone was looking for clues. When he came out of this state, he did not remember a word of what he said. To control the state of clairvoyance Barnaush failed. This condition came suddenly and just as suddenly disappeared. But what Barnaushe Baltakhanov predicted is still surprising.



Known in Siberia shaman and historian Valentin Khagdaev recalls that Barnaushe predicted the fall of the Russian Empire, the collapse of the USSR, the development of technology in the automotive industry. Barnaushe also predicted the resettlement of Buryats from Baikal.

Baltakhanov could predict the future and tell about his illnesses. But he remained an illiterate man. Barnaushe Baltakhanov lived 94 years and left this world in 1924. But the world still remembers his prophecies of the future, which, alas, continue to come true.
