On my laptop 8GB of RAM, and I'm pleased. Do not run browsers. They are constantly competing with each other for the amount of consumed memory, so it does not happen much. One guy apparently zadolbali inhibitory Chrome, and he decided to add a bit of RAM. He now has 128 GB. Looks impressive, but something tells me that will still slow down.
