How on earth it starts raining
Each cloud consists of tiny water droplets. But the size of these droplets can be very different. That's why there are so many varieties of clouds, and most of them has good weather.
Clouds consist of very small droplets which are easily supported by hot air. This is a fluffy soft cloud of air, which is often compared with soft sheep's wool flying in the blue sky. Meteorologists call these clouds Cumulus.
If these clouds appear in the sky, this means that the set of sustainable good weather.
Water drops in the cloud are continuously mixed. When they rise too high, then cool down and start to increase in size. Gradually the drops become so large that the patient cannot stay in the air. They begin to fall down and finally fall to the ground.
How on earth it starts raining.
Rain clouds are dark and rise much lower than Cumulus. Usually they are formed in autumn, when the air is colder. In the summer, when the sun warms the earth stronger, they are more rare. But in the winter when the air is colder, they can close a huge space. Then we spend days not seeing the sun.
In Europe we live in a temperate climate, when for several days the weather is dry. Then the sky surrounding the clouds and the rain, the temperature is dropping. Then the sun heats the earth, water evaporates, and again a good weather.
Despite predictions that make weathermen with their equipment, even today you can not absolutely predict the weather. I guess it's fair to say that we can never be completely sure that it won't rain. Therefore it is always better to take a walk with an umbrella!
