How lifestyle affects human height?

Scientists have found that growth depends not only on genetic heritage, but also on Your lifestyle. In the experiment, the results of which are published in the journal "American Economic Journal: Applied Economics", was attended by 2,000 volunteers aged 45 years and more.

Those who have received full secondary education, with age, decreased in height by one centimeter less than those who have not graduated from high school. Moreover, residents of the city, on average, "shrink" with age, one centimeter less than their "colleagues" from the village.

Experts suggest that the growth depends not just on genes but also on lifestyle. Educated people are more familiar with medicine and take better care of your body. Moreover, a significant decrease in growth with age is often indicative of such health problems as inflammation, arthritis and osteoporosis, the researchers said.
