Nissan will give a second life batteries LEAF

Nissan plans to build storage systems based on already used batteries of electric LEAF. This will be used only batteries which can not be used to provide vehicle operation. According to the company, the idea is no longer just a concept, the project is being implemented gradually. The developers claim that the old batteries, despite some loss of capacity, are still able to work for a long time. And by combining multiple panels can be formed quite workable system specific capacity.



In late summer, these systems will be used in our own factory Nissan in California, USA. Here, the battery will help to relieve the load on the energy system of the enterprise in times of peak energy demand.

After some time, such batteries will appear on the market, they will be sold through the company 4R Energy. The project will allow to find a reliable way of disposing of used batteries, and earn extra income, as well as the approval of environmental organizations and customers who listen to the views of such organizations.
