Northern Corrosion Station
Here in the Far Zelentsy, still exists only in the Arctic Circle Northern Corrosion Station. Owned by the Moscow Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry, in Soviet times, it took hundreds of orders from the defense and civil companies.
But in the mid-90s it was closed Murmansk Marine Biological Institute, and the villagers gradually began to leave. They say that right now for the plant should be only one person - Love Berezina.

Home space. In total, it stands 17.
Many specimens here are not oidn decade.
Samples of the various alloys.
Stress tests. Some samples have faults.
Each plate is signed. But corrosion is already destroying the record itself.
Once the samples destroyed.
The unique conditions of the Arctic make it possible to test the samples in a very harsh environment. If alloys withstand such a climate, then there will be problems with their operation in a milder climate.
Back in 1985, AvtoVAZ has sent samples of their products, and happily forgot about them.
Some of the samples in perfect condition.
Metals coated still destroyed.
Another stand.
There are even examples of welds.
And test lasting Plexiglas hood of the destroyer.
As I understand the device to record rainfall.
A weather station near idle ...
Even at a distance, closer to the sea were two small playgrounds with samples. One of them completely destroyed, and here's what a second.
Here and conducts research in Russia ...
