The country Congo-Brazzaville SAPE is a movement whose activities did not stop even during the war years. Sometime during the French occupation of the Congo, the myth that young people serving the settlers should be elegantly dressed. And in 1922, Andre Grenard Matsoua became the first Congolese returning from Paris dressed like a French "master" and insistence made furor among citizens.
