"Winter War" with Finland 1939-1940

Soviet-Finnish war? 1939-1940 year, or the Winter War (Fin. Talvisota) - an armed conflict between the USSR and Finland in the period from 30 November 1939 to 13 March 1940. As a result of military aggression by the Soviet Union was expelled from the League of Nations.

The war ended with the signing of the Moscow Peace Treaty. Under the terms of the Treaty:

By the Soviet Union withdrew Karelian Isthmus with Vyborg and Sortavala, a number of islands in the Gulf of Finland, the Finnish part of the territory of the city Kuolajärvi, part of the peninsula and the Middle Rybachy. As a result, Lake Ladoga is fully turned to the borders of the USSR.
USSR was rent part of the peninsula Hanko (Gangut) for 30 years to build on it a naval base.
