Yann Arthus-Bertrand - French photographer, photojournalist, Chevalier of the Order of the Legion of Honor, and winner of numerous other awards. Is world-famous for the series of photos of different parts of the Earth taken from the air: the project "Earth from heaven" (Eng. Earth from the Air; 1995). Eponymous book was published including in Russian in 2002. Arthus-Bertrand has produced about 60 books with photographs taken from a height.
Total has sold 3 million books with his photographs.
