April 11, 2022. Shanghai, 14th day of full lockdownPeople are literally screaming from the windows! Many people don’t have the right medicine, they run out of food. You cannot leave the house under any circumstances. Frequent cases when people leave their lives forever. Less disciplined Chinese run out to rob shops. The authorities promise to soften the quarantine after another mass testing.

The situation in the world today is not the best way. The world attention is focused on the war in Ukraine. However, this horrific event, which has been going on for more than a month, does not cancel COVID-19. Unfortunately, the pandemic is not over yet. Moreover, in some countries, new lockdowns are not far off. We will talk about one of these in this article.

The situation in the world today The strain of the coronavirus "Omicron" has long been not new for us. However, in some cities around the world, its spread is only gaining momentum. So, for example, just yesterday in the Network there was news that Shanghai is closed for quarantine.

Earlier, the authorities of the financial center of China announced the introduction of a large-scale lockdown. To prevent the rapid spread of the disease, the quarantine had to last 10 days, but with its own nuances. So, for the first 5 days (from March 28 to April 1) the Pudong district and the area around it were closed. From April 1 to April 5, residents of the city were closed throughout central and western Shanghai. The quarantine in Shanghai continues!

Citizens are required to stay at home during this time. Only those people who do vital things will work. Even public transport is temporarily shutting down. You can buy food, medicines or other goods, but only online. Contactless delivery is still relevant for all residents of the People’s Republic of China.

Although the lockdown began on March 28, the first restrictions took effect a week earlier. For example, the authorities banned people from visiting Shanghai Disneyland. Also completely suspended the work of the plant for the production of Tesla cars.

Recall that the new strain of coronavirus is very contagious. It most often manifests itself as the flu. And someone “Omicron” occurs in the same way as a common cold. A runny nose and congestion, sore throat, headache and fever are typical symptoms of this type of COVID-19.

However, do not forget how insidious the coronavirus is. It happens that people are unlucky, and they collect at once the entire bouquet of possible symptoms of coronavirus, including loss of smell and taste. Experts say that Omicron evades acquired immunity from vaccination. However, this does not mean that vaccination is not worth it. One way or another, this will save you from severe illness and possible hospitalization.

The situation in the world today is this. There are 482 million cases of COVID-19. Of these, more than 6 million were fatal. People continue to get sick with the coronavirus, as sad as it may be. But we must understand that scientists are still working to create new solutions to the world problem.

It is interesting that while other countries of the world are in no hurry to relax the restrictions, Russia is beginning to abolish the mask regime. For example, in the capital, the mask is no longer necessary. There is an opinion that the matter here is not in the coronavirus, but that people do not hide their faces in case of something. And what is this case, everyone decides for himself.

Remember that coronavirus is not a joke, and its treatment should be taken seriously. We understand that the focus of people is shifted to other aspects of life. However, this is not a reason to neglect your health. Those who have experienced COVID-19 well know the consequences of the disease. Many months can not regain their senses, suffer from insomnia and more serious mental disorders.

Any disease puts a person’s life on pause. And we all have it, to be honest, now. We encourage you to take care of your health. Spring is here! It is time to spend as much time as possible outside, breathe fresh air and soak up solar energy. Do not forget about proper nutrition, water balance and sports. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
