Pollution carbon dioxide reached a record level

Air pollution and soil carbon dioxide on Monday 7 April, reached its highest level over the past 800 thousand years. Scientists warn of the need for immediate attention to this problem and to reduce the level of impact of this substance on the planet.

Scientists have compared the composition of air bubbles older than 800 thousand years old, found in the Greenland ice cores and modern samples from the top of the Hawaiian volcano Mauna Loa height of 3200 meters. In the sample of prehistoric time when man did not exist, found the same amount of CO2 as in the air from Hawaii – about 401 particles.
More frightening is the fact that this astronomical figure may not be the biggest. Usually every year records of CO2 content is achieved in may, so the figures may still grow. In any case, to compare the air from the Greenland samples with modern incorrect, because in the past this high level of CO2 was due to natural causes and not destructive human impact.
