15-year-old boy found the lost city of the Maya on the star chart!

A perfect example of enthusiasm and determination! However, and without luck here, of course, it has not done. Site tells the amazing story that happened to a Canadian teen amateur history. Schoolboy William Gaduri long been interested in the Mayan civilization. He knew that the Mayans worshiped the stars and the cosmos. But he was interested in the question of why they built the city, not where is convenient for life near rivers, and in a rather strange places: in remote jungle on the mountain slopes, etc.

.. Several years ago there was Gaduri crazy idea that the Indians built the city ... in accordance with the location of stars in the sky! The boy drew a map of settlements, put it on a map of the constellations - and was able to predict where there is another unknown city

. This discovery was a spectacular confirmation of his theory. William Gaduri several years studying the subject and was able to impose a 117 Mayan cities on the circuit 22 constellations - that before anyone could not. About a year ago, he was able to combine even two cities with the scheme of the 23rd constellation. It lacked only the last, the 118th, the city for the full compliance with the star schema.

Schoolboy calculate precisely where he should be. Unfortunately, these coordinates the boy could not check yourself, for this would have to make a trip into the deep jungles of Central America. So he turned for help to the Canadian Space Agency with a request to show detailed satellite photographs on the given coordinates. Scientists have complied with the request the boy - and his hypothesis was confirmed. By processing satellite imagery, William has combined them with images in Google Earth.

City found in the jungle in the southeast of Mexico, near the border with Guatemala.

A more detailed study of the city by the NASA satellite imagery and the Japanese Space Agency has established that in a previously unknown settlement set pyramid and about 30 plants. It was not only the 118th in a row the city of the Maya civilization, but one of the five largest cities, known today!

The town was named K'àak 'Chi' (Mouth of Fire). So far, no one has seen it in reality. Perhaps in the next few years will organize a scientific expedition, but experts warn that it will cost a lot of money. "This is the culmination of three years of my work, and the dream of my life", - said the boy

.

William Gaduri will present their findings at a scientific conference in Brazil in 2017.
