Cthulhu and Balrog: NASA called in the areas of Pluto
Just recently completed online voting among Internet users for the best names of objects. The presentation by NASA to name a few winners.

As you can see, the dark area on the left side of the screen is called the sea of Cthulhu, another spot on the right side of the heart - region Balrog. Dark spots smaller named Meng-p'o, Kroon, Ala Vucub-Kama-Kama and Hong.

Meng-p'o - goddess of death from Chinese mythology.
Balrog - demonic creature, originally mentioned in the novel "The Lord of the Rings" John. R. R. Tolkien.
In the future, informal names can adopt by submitting an application to the International Astronomical Union.
