Black holes do not look as presented

Astronomers first got the correct image of the universe monster
Black holes are usually depicted as black or bubbles, or in the form of black funnels. And thus, as it illustrates the main feature of these mysterious objects - regions in space-time universe, where gravity is so great that they're a suck - they can not leave even light.
In fact, black holes - or rather their borders, called event horizons should look different. How do?
Correct image of a black hole recently unveiled an astronomer at the University of California at Berkeley (University of California, Berkeley), Ayman bin Kamruddin (Ayman Bin Kamruddin), presenting it to the 221 th meeting of the American Astronomical Society (221st meeting of the American Astronomical Society).

The image was simulated on a computer, but based on the data received via radio telescopes.

According to astronomers from Berkeley, crescent is derived from the fact that the black hole is rotating and lit the gas disk in the form of a donut, the edge of which is sucked in. Black hole itself appears spot in the center of the crescent.
The project "Telescope event horizon" researchers will collect data obtained using different telescopes available worldwide and in Earth orbit, and using them to depict the observed objects.
