Grande Hotel
Grande Hotel was built in the then colonial Mozambique in 1955. At the opening of this hotel was probably the most luxurious in the whole of Africa, 21 000 square meters of floor space, more than 130 rooms, a large swimming pool, several restaurants and discotheques.
In the sixties in Mozambique began the struggle for independence, and in February 1963 the building ceased to exist as a hotel, it began to settle the military. In 1975, Mozambique gained independence, and the war left the building, but the hotel was not restored. He gradually became a refuge for the homeless.
Now the former Grande Hotel lived more than two thousand people. Everything that could break off and sell it, break off and sold, and the former hotel is a sad sight.
