Man of the Century 02/10/2013

If you're wondering how you'll look at the age of 100 years, I recommend to look at the collection of photographs by German photographer Carsten Tormelena. The project titled "Man of the Century", he photographed more than 40 centenarians between 2006 and 2012. Their portraits have been published in the books of Living a Century (2008) and Happy at One Hundred (2011).

Want to know the secret of the elixir? It does not exist! Some project participants mentioned the occasional glass of whiskey, but the truth lies in the ability to cope with stressful and difficult situations (such as the two world wars). Scientists say that the key to overcoming the trials of old age are the good genes, healthy eating, as well as enthusiasm and personality extroverts. So smile and be able to celebrate its 100th birthday!
