Strange protoplanetary disks ALMA is watching
Researchers open double in the young star system HK Tau a couple of protoplanetary disks with a strong bias. The this at the moment is the most clear. It says a lot about the birth of planet systems that have more than one star, and their final orbit.
Managed to get it through the use of the telescope, the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). In the picture is clearly visible as the main star and its companion, and, in addition, are mutually offset protoplanetary disks. The stars are in the constellation Taurus, and the planets they removed almost four hundred and fifty light-years.
Their age of about four million years, and the distance between the stars almost fifty-eight kilometers. In the orbits of both stars rotate two fairly wide zone, consisting of carbon monoxide: the red is offset from the side rotating towards us, but the blue is offset, which has the side rotating toward us.
Scientists have found that orbit stars disks, in space directed in different ways. Between their orbital planes is the angle from sixty degrees to seventy. It is established that, at least, out of sync with the orbit its own star rotates one disk.
