Western Siberia will become the world's largest supplier of uranium. Scientists have reported this to the scientific-practical conference of young specialists "Salmanovskie read." The reports before the competition commission has acted more than 40 young scientists from the regions of Western Siberia.
According to preliminary data of the Tyumen geologists, the area of occurrence of uranium in the region of more than 1, 5 thousand sq. M. km. Forecasts scientists say that the supplies of fuel for nuclear power plants make up 8 million tonnes. It follows that the radioactive metal deposits in the Tyumen region in 1, 5 times the world's proven reserves.
As reported by "Pravda URFO" the press service of "Rosatom", the establishment of industries to extract uranium in Western Siberia can radically change the entire economy of the region.
