Cartoons - sometimes the only thing that binds us irrevocably departed childhood.
Animation in the Soviet Union - it is a separate genre, many of the brilliant creations of Soviet filmmakers still have a significant influence on the work of recognized guru of modern (and not only) animation. Soviet cartoons happy to look not only in Russia and the Soviet republics: Cheburashka and Hedgehog in the Fog empathize viewers all over the world, and it is said that the animation - not a children's genre.

1. "Snow Queen" 1957-Year Full-length animated masterpiece "Soyuzmultfilm" loved by children and adults of different countries of the world. The film adaptation of one of the most popular stories of Hans Christian Anderson translated into many languages, including English, German, Italian, French, Swedish and Spanish, and v1960's and 1970's television of the United States has traditionally shown "Snow Queen" during the Christmas and New Year's holidays.

Everyone who watched this beautiful fairy tale, surely noticed that the Snow Queen traced much better and more thoroughly than other cartoon characters. The thing is that the beautiful but cold hearted Queen created by technology, now called «live-action», or rotoscoping, ie first the role played by the actress (Mary Babanov), and then the image on film frame by frame turned into animation. The voice acting cartoon characters for Western countries attended the most famous and talented actors: for example, in the French version of the Snow Queen Catherine Deneuve says the voice, and in 1998, the year another famous actress Kirsten Dunst duplicated Gerda. By the way, one of the recognized geniuses of contemporary animation Hayao Miyazaki once said that it is the creation of the Soviet director Lev Atamanova had a decisive impact on the choice of his life.

2. "Well, wait a minute!", 1969-1993 years. The animated series about the adventures of the Wolf and the Hare became one of the symbols of Soviet animation. The heroes of this epic saga without exaggeration liked big and small audiences in many countries, and even got into a virtual reality: in 1984, the same name was released a pocket computer game (also known as the "24-01 Electronics" and "Electronics MI-02" ), and in 1993, the game appeared on the Nintendo Entertainment System platform called «I'll Get You».

Initially, the creators of the cartoon suggested that Wolf announce Vladimir Vysotsky, but the famous poet and performer at the time was in disgrace, so to take part in the project attracted Anatoly Papanova, hoarse voice which became the hallmark of cartoon characters. Interestingly, almost all the directors refused cartoon, but Vyacheslav Vyacheslav Kotyonochkin said: "This is something there!" And he was right - Soviet version of "Tom and Jerry" quickly became popular not only in socialist countries, but also in the whole world and in 2010, the Mint of Poland even issued a commemorative collector coin with the image of the Rabbit and the Wolf.

Ironic small mammal resembling not bear, not the hare - the fruit of imagination of the famous children's writer Eduard Uspensky. As stated by the author, the idea came to him when the writer was a guest at a friend's little daughter whom paced around the house in a long fluffy coat, constantly stumbling and falling. After the next time the girl's father exclaimed, "Oh, cheburahnulas again!". Assumption of interest to the original word, which he then used in the book. In the story, an exotic animal got to the people with one of the boxes in which transported oranges, with Cheburashka so stuffed these fruits that could not stand on his feet, and when the drawer is opened, just fell out, for which he received a funny name- nickname.

Animated characters created by Roman Kachanov Eduard Uspensky and with direct participation of an art director Leonid Shvartsman, perhaps, one of the most recognizable cartoon characters in the world. Few people know that in the 1970s in Sweden, out of children's cycles of television and radio broadcasts, which present images of Cheburashka and Crocodile Gena, only the last Swedes called Drutten, which is an adaptation of the Russian name (in Swedish drutta - «fall, stumble "). By the way, the plot Swedish version has nothing to do with the Soviet cartoons, so that even now many Swedes have no idea that their Dryutten - this is our Cheburashka. In the English and the American box office the main character was named fuels («Topple»), the Germans know it as Kullerhena («Kullerchen») or Plumpsa («Plumps»), and in Finland the unknown beast called Muksis («Muksis»).

It is inexplicable love of the Japanese to Cheburashka: in 2003, the company «SP International» acquired the "Soyuzmultfilm" rights to distribute these cartoon images until 2023, the year, and in 2009, the year Japan started showing animated series «Cheburashka Arere ? ", created by the director Susumu Kudo (Susumu Kudo). According to the resource IMDb (Internet Movie Data base), «There was a dog" - one of the most popular cartoons, issued in Russia and the Soviet Union. Incidentally, the draft outline for the cartoon wolf looked different, but the director felt that his appearance does not match the voice A. Dzhigarkhanyan though which says the character (initially Wolf had to announce Mikhail Ulyanov, but he refused because of the tight schedule of the shooting) so the character had to be completely redrawn. And the sound of leaves at the beginning of the cartoon carts Eduard Nazarov borrowed from the film "Chapaev».

Fictional characters animated film worthy of the title of People's Artists: virtually every sentence from the cartoon cited for many years, and, for example, in Tomsk, set the so-called Monument fortunately - 200-pound bronze statue of a sitting Wolf. When you click on a certain button cartoon hero utters one of the most famous phrases: "Right now, sing!", "God help you!" "Well, you come on, if that" other.

5. "Hedgehog in the Fog", 1975 In the year 2003, the creation of Yuri Norstein in a survey of critics and animators from different countries recognized as the best animated film of all time. Since the release of the screen the story of a hedgehog and his friend cub went beyond the children's animation and has become a real philosophical parable. Perhaps the best cartoon about the author said: "There is no intrigue in action, there is no dynamics of action. It is likely that "Hedgehog in the Fog" there was a happy coincidence of all the elements of the case ».

The basis for the animated film served as a tale of Sergei Kozlov, and after the success of "Hedgehog" was created a few short adaptations, but none of them became as popular. It is believed that the prototype image of the hero served as the profile of the singer and playwright Lyudmila Petrushevskaya (this, in particular, in his book mentions itself Petrushevskaya), but Norstein describes the process of creating the Hedgehog a little differently: multipliers have tried a variety of options, the exterior of the future "stars" constantly changed. The director shouted that even after the appearance of instant hero has "imprinted" on the screen, and in the end, the wife Norstein and part-time artist Francesca Yarbusova his cartoons, has done exactly as it should. By the way, the second place in the ranking of the best animated films also owns Yuri Norstein - this animated film "Tale of Tales».
