Machines and robots are replacing human labor in manufacturing, leaving jobs only for operators and maintenance personnel. University of Art and Design Lausanne (ECAL) in the age of high-tech modernization of the plant offered their students a fun project «Low-Tech Factory» («low-tech factory"), the purpose of which was the creation of simple entertainment machines with automated production and leisurely. Students Damien Ludi and Colin Peillex took part in it and developed a cool rocking chair Rocking-Knit, already understands knit winter hats.
Creative rocking chair Rocking-Knit engaged in knitted cap at a measured rocking in it by turning a relaxing holiday in a useful occupation or purposeful work in good time. It differs from the usual rocking chair small functional superstructure consisting of the coil holder with yarn, knitting machine and its drive. When the original rocking chair Rocking-Knit knitting machine starts creating headdress through the pendulum swings, spins the drive gears.
