Only hard-working mathematicians will immediately understand where the catch in this example is.

Do you know what apps are most often installed on your phone? In addition to messengers and mobile versions for social networks, the leaders are a variety of games. Moreover, the lion’s share is occupied by relatively simple toys for the development of the speed of thinking, for example, variants of crossword puzzles, Sudoku and Tetris. This is how our brain works, it constantly needs food to work. Therefore, do not keep the most important organ of your body on hunger rations. Try to solve three tricky problems in pictures.

This is a classic visual problem in which drawings replace numbers. Look at the picture, think and give an answer what number should stand in place of the question mark. Just in case, we suggest that the problem is solved exclusively with the help of mathematics. All the allusions to McDonald’s and other fast food chains are random and in no way affect finding the right answer. Even if you knocked all the prices out of McDonald’s menu, it won’t help you.

Look at the drawing and answer how many mobile phones can be charged at the same time with the help of the extension cords depicted? Keep in mind that there is only one outlet, but there can be as many chargers to the phones as you want.

At first glance, it may seem that the equations in the picture contradict all the rules of mathematics, but do not rush to conclusions. Take a look at the image and answer what number should be in place of the question mark.

The solution to the fast food problem now let’s get to the answers. As usual, the devil is in the details. Look at the picture: the penultimate line is two hamburgers, not one. Also in the last equation, a couple of cups of coffee, rather than one, hid behind the multiplication sign. Looking at all these details, you can easily solve the problem.

Ultimately, our equations will look like this.

10 + 10 + 10 = 30
10 + 5 + 5 = 20
(5 + 5) + 2 + 2 = 14
5 + 2 × (10 + 10) = 45

Correct answer: 45.

Solving the task with extension cords This task is both logic and attentiveness. Take a closer look at the lengtheners shown. Pay attention to the device for three outlets. It doesn't have a cord, which means it can't be used. Also on two extension cords there are plugs on one of the fork holes, which means that two more sockets can not be used to charge phones.

In total, there are 19 working sockets on five extensions. Do not forget that there is only one outlet with electricity, and only one extension cord can be connected to it. As a result, four extension cords will also require additional nests to connect. So the inventory offered in the picture is enough to charge 15 phones simultaneously.

Answer: 15.

In the last problem for today, only at first glance the numbers seem wrong. In fact, the answer consists of three numbers written behind each other. Look at every example. For clarity, we highlight the answers in the picture in different colors. The first two digits after the equal sign are equal to the result of multiplying the two numbers in the example. After that, without gaps, their amount is put, and then the difference. In the end you have to solve three simple equations.

1) 20 × 3 = 60
2) 20 + 3 = 23
(3) 20 - 3 = 17

Correct answer: 602317.

If these three tasks were not enough for you and there is time to continue the intellectual warm-up, then take on other tasks in the pictures. There are a lot of them on our website!
