Some students from rice University, under the guidance and sponsorship of the company Sameron Intеrnational, was given the task to create a device that can generate electricity through normal daily human activity. So was born the prototype device PediPower, which must be installed on the shoes and it will allow You to collect kinetic energy.





The PediPower prototype is a special unit with the mechanical parts of the generating coil and a special kind of lever, which was attached to the heel area of the sole of the Shoe (in this case). When a person takes a step, the heel lever is pressed and forced to move mechanical gear motor, and it already generates electricity, which in turn goes to a special belt with a battery.





PediPower the creators hope their device will be able to get the opportunity for commercial use. After all, this compact generator can be, for example, to charge smartphones on the go. In addition, the project sponsor company Sameron Intеrnational currently works with Tea Heаrt Institutе on the creation of artificial heart valves of new generation. The students hope their technology will find a place to use there.
