Published new pictures of Pluto the satellites of NYX and Hydra

New images of two small satellites of Pluto, made by the apparatus of the New Horizons during the first ever flyby of the dwarf planet, you can see the huge craters of the moon and drawing a bulls eye. Today NASA has published pictures of NYX and Hydra, which it received last week.

Nikta has the shape of a Bob with length of approximately 42 kilometers and a width of 36 kilometers. The new photos with improved color, made from a distance of 165 thousand kilometers, shows an area of red, which, as scientists assume, is the crater.

Scientists eagerly await transmission to Earth information about the chemical composition of NYX, which should explain the phenomenon of "bullseye".

Length of Hydra is about 55 kilometers, a width of 40 kilometers. Her black-and-white image obtained from a distance of about 231 thousand kilometers, shows a variety of landforms. Scientists have identified there are two very large crater, one of which mostly is in the shade.

As stated in NASA, a new batch of photos from New Horizons will be published during a press conference on Friday, July 24.

Pluto has five natural satellites. Close-up images of the largest moon of Pluto Charon showed huge canyons and mysterious mountain. Photos of the two remaining moons, Styx and Cerberus are expected to be transmitted to Earth over the next few months. published
