Anatoly Golubovsky
Sergey Kuzin. Before the appearance of "Kamtugeza" with him and Sonya Sotnik, I did not really listen to radio voices in principle. Well, I didn't listen. Music, yes. And even then selectively.
And in this case, he wanted to get acquainted. And ask.
***
How much did the fact that you grew up not in the Soviet Union, but in Germany, influence you?
- Well, probably, it had some effect. Although, when a person talks about himself, about what and how influenced him, it smacks of some kind of schizophrenia. This is easier for others to appreciate. I grew up the way I grew up and never wondered what influenced me more or less. But I know for sure that if I had not grown up in Germany, I would have grown up, first of all, on other music. It just so happened that at the age of seven I began to make my first catalog: I took a large ledger from my mother, wrote "Rock" on it and began to paste clippings from magazines, mainly West German, into it. My father often traveled beyond the wall to West Berlin for work and brought back Bravo and other magazines from there. We caught Western channels - ORD, CDF, and there was a wonderful program Musikladen, on which the grandees of world rock music played live in the studio. There is no point in listing everyone and rattling names. I saw them at the age of 7-8, when my peers in the Soviet Union did not have, at least the legal opportunity, to do this. I don't know how to listen, but I definitely want to watch it. And I went crazy at the age of 7 – I tried to translate the names of bands, lyrics, I was very interested in all this.
And another very important point is that I learned to read much earlier than I went to school, at the age of five, and when I came to the first grade, I not only knew how to read, but also loved it. For the first two or three years, this was a problem – I usually read 2-3 books at once. They were taken away from me, at night I covered myself with a blanket and read with a flashlight, my mother, of course, swore that I was spoiling my eyesight. So. In the GDR, books could be bought very easily - obviously, they were supplied according to special orders. At the age of 8, I bought an eight-volume edition of Conan Doyle myself — I saved money from breakfasts. I still remember the black and red covers. And when I was on vacation with relatives - in Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, I saw that in the Soviet Union it was difficult with books.
Probably, he grew up a snob in this sense, because when he came to the Soviet Union...
-Stop. How did snobbery manifest itself?
- Not in relation to the surrounding world. I had no reason to do so. It's just that the environment ordered it this way: I saw that my peers did not know sensible groups, did not have the opportunity to wear normal clothes, they did not even have chewing gum. And for me, this is not something that was not an indicator – I did not pay attention to it at all... Perhaps not snobbery - I formulated it incorrectly. But there was a kind of inner feeling of superiority, and later it greatly interfered.
- The first catalog at the age of seven. Even then, there was a certainty "what do I want to do?"
-No. I had a childhood dream of becoming a great guitarist. My father brought a small portable Philips with a front-loading audio cassette, I recorded all sorts of rockers on it, and when my parents left, I took a mop, stole my mother's wig and imitated. I grew up on glam, and there are a lot of bright and brilliant things there. But I can't say that it was a straight highway - I went to the music school in the phono class, my father refused to buy a guitar. In the fourth grade, probably, for the first time, I showed my, to put it mildly, versatile character and said that I would not go to the fifth grade in phono if they did not buy me a guitar. They bought some cheap iron guitar, and I started burning. There were two more fifth-graders, we wrote the songs ourselves. The group was called "Dynamite".
- And how did all this transform into radio?
- Everything was different. The radio appeared when I was already in my late 30s. No, of course, I listened to radio voices – mainly the Voice of America and Radio Luxembourg. Somewhere in 77-78 I got to Seva Novgorodtsev. He was the first person I heard and thought it might be a profession. Although he was not the first Russian RJ voice to talk about good rock that I heard. But the first, whom he did not just listen to, but listened to. He had his own opinion, which did not always coincide with mine about certain groups, I argued with him, but he is certainly the radio voice that influenced me in the sense that "if you have an opinion, then talk about it, even if you are opposed by a great guru"
- Somehow the image of this guy does not correspond to the fact that he then moved to a military school
- Nothing cosmic. My father forced me. I didn't have any insights in my life at all in the spirit of "I woke up and...", "I had an epiphany"...
-)))You don't believe in it at all?
- I don't want to generalize anything, but in my 52 years I have not encountered any magical situations, epiphany, insights and so on. Everything is for me - through a bunch of mistakes, through the muzzle of the lawn, through 158 wrong trials...
- That's what happens to most people
- That's what I'm talking about - I'm the same. As for the school - I came to Minsk when I was graduating from school and found myself, as they say, in bad company. Guitar, wine, karate, fights at discos. By the end of school, and I graduated in the Olympic 80s, fights and wine began to prevail
- Did you try to expel him from school?
- I was registered in the children's room of the police, I was expelled from school several times a day, but despite this, I went to Moscow in the 10th grade for the Olympiad in literature. So there was complete order with hypocrisy in our educational institution: they fought - they scolded, and in order not to disgrace themselves, they were sent to participate.
I entered the elective program at the Belarusian State University — the Faculty of History in English. And I was very interested, at least so it seemed to me, in the history of the Ancient World. Rome, Greece, comparison of gods, legends, it seemed to me that it was cool and coherently connected with my research of rock 'n' roll lyrics, there were many different allusions...
- Did you already know English well by that time?
-No. At the level of knowledge of song lyrics. German – yes. English is better than many others, after all, he listened to a lot of songs, but it could not be called knowledge
- Well, knowledge of one foreign language makes it easier to learn the next ones
- In general, yes. German is basic, it was easier for me later...
So, my father came back from another business trip, looked at my life, that I was confidently, as they wrote then, going downhill, that I liked rock 'n' roll more and more in the part that had nothing to do with music, and one fine morning I was completely corruptly shaved bald, put in his black "Volga" with antennas and brought to the camp. And he entered the Air Defense Military School
- Was your father an authoritarian person?
- I have never argued with him. Subsequently, unfortunately, I did not talk to him for 10 years, after I became an officer and faced the underside of the work of political officers on my own skin. Of course, at his level. Then, as a senior lieutenant, I stood up for a guy who was unfairly accused, deprived of his rank, there was a wild conflict with the political officer, they talked to me...
- Study along the party line...
- I was not a communist until 1989.
- How did you manage to do it? Almost all graduates of military schools automatically became communists
- I became a Komsomol member in the first year. When the question of admission arose, I learned the history of six orders of the Komsomol, I was issued retroactively. Otherwise, he would not have been admitted to a military school. At that time, everything was already falling apart, the CPSU was a pure fiction, but I was the only one who was not married to the missile point. More precisely, he did not live with his wife. This is an important point. Since only a member of the party and the secretary of the party organization had the right to be responsible for the distribution of goods and consumer products that came to our shop. The gang of wives did not trust anyone, because the ladies understood that behind every husband there was a wife, and she would definitely distribute a terry towel or a can of Indian coffee in her favor. In this sense, I was seen as virginally pure. And he was put on a pedestal. I became both a communist and a secretary of the party organization, all the joys of accounting and distributing towels and other benefits were hung on me. Six months later, being drunk, I burned my party card, leaving only the first page with a photo from it. And then he submitted a report for dismissal. As a result, he resigned in 1991 as a captain, head of the combat control department of the missile division, deputy chief of staff. In the same year, the Soviet Union collapsed
- The most vivid memory of the army
-I don't know... Today one thing will seem like this, tomorrow another. But I don't regret anything. She gave me a lot. I still managed to catch the army-army. Every six months - a training ground in Kazakhstan, combat training, trips, combat duty. One of the difficult memories is working in a military receiver. For the last six months after the report, I served as its chief. When conscripts from Chechnya and Dagestan came, there were hard nights. I don't think I'll ever talk about it in detail, but there was everything: knives, fights and everything else. That is, it is really hard. It is much harder than not sleeping, not eating or eating dogs in Kazakhstan, when we were forgotten there during exercises.
But much more good things have happened. Great friends. And one very important thing that the army taught me, although I realized it over time: to do what I don't want to do, I hate, but I have to.
And I also learned to take care of myself. In the school, in the army, the guys quickly deduct the f*ck, and literally, the unscrupulous. This is corrected not by the family, not by the mother, who can wash socks for her moron until the age of fifty. In the army, it's simple - you very quickly become the object of a wild amount of ridicule, humiliation and, in the end, bullying, if you do not understand that your comrades are nearby.
- Do you need to do what you hate to do?
-For sure. Of course, a person should strive to live the life he wants to live. Do and enjoy what you like. But. This is utopia, this is Adam Smith, communes and, ultimately, communism. That is, nonsense. My subjective opinion. We live in the degrees of freedom that we set for ourselves, plus the Criminal Code, the Constitution – of course, there is no getting away from this either. So, even in my favorite job – and I adore radio, I can't imagine myself without it and I hope that I am still relevant in this business as a person – but in what is related to it, there are a lot of things that are disgusting to any freedom-loving and creative person. Routine, monotony – this is also radio.
- Get up at five o'clock...
- This is the most problem-free. Try listening to music for eight hours every day for six months straight. And then I will talk to you about the love of music. Do you have days when you don't want to listen to anything?
-Of course)))In any case - for now)
- But I don't. But this is at a primitive level) In general, I mean - you can't break your core over the knee, doing what you don't want to do. However, in any, even the most delicious thing for you, there are things that cannot be delegated to anyone. More precisely, you can cheat, talk, but then you cease to be a professional. And as soon as you realize this, you come to understand that either you do everything, or you will again be out of place, not in your profession.
Then, the men have one more point. I can't do much more now than I can do in my profession. And I didn't become a presenter right away. He did a huge number of things - he served in the army and enjoyed some things there, although initially he had no desire to become a rocket officer. And then I got two C's at the first session, and I felt very. "Am I a moron? As many years later, after the first attempt to ride a motorcycle: "I will never be able to." And then he saw a girl passing by and: "Stop. She passed. Heifer. And you're all about rock'n'roll, and suddenly you're not?" and so on. Therefore, I am convinced that a guy should not just be able to do what he does not like, but love to do it. If necessary.
- That is, the point "I can do something else and I will prove it"?
- This is not a point and I do not always use it. But if I want to, I try to do it. It doesn't always work out. I can stop. But I have never said to myself: "That's it. In this direction, I have reached some kind of maximum, and this is enough." I'm always missing something. On the other hand, "something is missing" can be quite satisfactory. Because of this, in particular, a sports career did not work out. I was engaged in wrestling for a long time, but after 8-9 years I stopped winning city, republican competitions and the coach had claims, since he had certain views on me. After losses, I was upset for 30-40 minutes, and he once said that I should not be a great athlete, because there is no anger in me. I told him: "Nikolai Palych, I'm not worried. Probably, there is no thing inside me that makes a gymnast an athlete. But I tried and did everything I could" When it became clear that this was not what I lived for, and the fight was definitely not such a thing, I gave up. And not even because I stopped winning, but because I discovered in myself a banal reluctance to read books - I was so tired that I began to be frankly stupid. I feel that I don't want to read, and that's it. And this has always been my phobia. I still read like a swallow, I don't perceive any electronic books, I have to flip through, rustle to make it smell like a book, and so on. At the same time, I suddenly began to feel that I was really deteriorating, no offense to professional athletes - they probably all went through this. Someone finds the ability to combine intellectual baggage with sports baggage. I did not find it and made a choice in favor of physical education - football and so on. And he never regretted it.
Another thing is that when it came to the radio, at first I was f*cked. "Well, yes, I managed to become a great musician. He did not become a great writer (after all, he wrote books about Indians at school, my mother still keeps them). But here it is paradise: I love music, I can talk about it and put it on the air." I'm hooked on the times when a DJ was something in terms of a playlist. Vinyl, of course, did not catch it, there were already audio cassettes from which we played both music and advertising. Although vinyl stations may still exist. In any case, in 2003 I myself visited one in the United States. Of course, they played not dance music, but old. Potrekovo, they did not mix.
I don't understand people very well when they start talking about some milestones, when something influenced them, some book... I don't know. I didn't have that. Everything was somehow formed according to the law of energy accumulation and the transition of quantity into quality. And on the way to something new—no matter what—I've always done a lot more wrong things than right things. I just made so many of them that some of the attempts turned out to be successful. I don't know how to shoot a dozen
- And we never know how many times a particular successful person hit his forehead against the wall, it's off-screen. Society sees such an icon, and hesitation and searching, as a rule, are not particularly interesting...
-Of course. People who have achieved something by their own work know about it. And how to explain that you work 14 hours a day, that you do not sleep at night and you have a huge number of complexes and suspiciousness, and that you pay attention to criticism. Firstly, no one needs it, and secondly, it is not productive...
- I don't know)) As for complexes and suspiciousness - just the most interesting. Because if they tell me: "I don't have complexes", I don't believe it
-Absolutely. Everyone has them. A person without complexes is a medically ill person, no offense. This is a diagnosis. How is it that there are no complexes? Does he take offense at anything? So this is also a complex))
- Is there any complex that you would like to get rid of? Because there are such nice and dear ones, and there are those who specifically interfere
- This is not a complex, but a character trait. Do not make hasty decisions. On the other hand, this is my plus. I make decisions very quickly. Not always correct. Therefore, it seems that I would like to get rid of it, but since I take it quickly, I decide quickly or not quickly. And I still find the right one. In this purely practical way, I came to everything that is "mine". When people talk about wrong decisions and results in front of me, I often comment, "Guys, I don't just know this. I tried it. personally. And there is stupid crap." I have never been able to implement any scheme in my life, learning from other people's mistakes.
In the army, when the unit was stationed in the desert, there was only one hole in the fence. And I told each new conscription that everyone knew about it - the guard, the battalion commander, there was no need to climb over it. And still, after two weeks, some cunning soldier, thinking that he was some kind of special, climbed into this hole. And I understand him!)) Because I am the same) And I will definitely turn out differently
- How did the integration into civilian life take place?
- Shit. I came from a parallel-perpendicular world, in which agreements were fulfilled, because there is no other way. And I hit my head on a pillow of intricacies and variations of communication from "I don't know", "maybe", "as if", "I didn't mean it", "you misunderstood me". And this had a very strong impact on the further course of life. The first time after the dismissal was the worst period. I broke down, changed lanes, there was everything. I remember that in one interview he said that during this time he tried everything except homosexuality and statecraft. The rest of the vices were tested.
- What do you think about Zhvanetsky's idea "the role of alcohol in art is greatly underestimated"?
- I almost idolize Michal Mikhalych, but here I would argue. I've never done anything good if I've been drunk. Neither on stage - I tried my hand at the theater, nor in life in general, nothing good was associated with al*gol. I don't remember a single evening, festivities, gatherings, where he would play any positive role. Unfortunately, I am not one of those people who know how to drink, who savor good wines and cognacs. I got drunk. And he found himself in a variety of criminal and not so criminal, even shameful, situations. And there is something that I will carry with me all my life in connection with this and I am unlikely to forgive myself, but what can I do...
- And if not yourself, do you forgive easily?
-Yes. And I consider this to be another problem of mine. I flare up terribly and at this stage I feel like Vesuvius, which will incinerate everything around. But, unfortunately - or fortunately, I grieve for a very short time. After that, I either forgive and go, or refuse to communicate, as happened in Minsk. When I parted ways with the radio station, the people who worked with me, whom I hired, gave interviews about how "the ship will sail on" and so on down the list. At that time, I thought that I would never forgive them. And a few years later, they began to come to Kiev, because the situation with the media in Belarus is somewhat different, and, hiding their eyes, try to get a job. And I caught myself thinking, "What are you talking about, really. Let them swarm. The land is big, there is enough air for everyone."
But it's not even about them – they don't take any place in my life – neither good nor bad. God bless them
- And when does Sonya disappear on a business trip?
- Come on. Sonya is different. A six-year-old part of me is on the air. We have known each other since 1998, it was a long funny story about how we began to be friends with stations. We were asked to make the show "Kamtugeza", realizing that we are no longer boys and girls. Although, on the other hand, almost twenty years of on-air experience... It doesn't matter what they actually asked, it's just that Sonya is a different person, completely different from me. And, without being flirtatious at all, I consider her much deeper, smarter, more educated and better than me. I don't tell her about it. And sometimes I say. We can quarrel, but in general, not only women, but not only a few people in their lives who could live so selflessly. She succeeds. Sonya is special, she is not for replication. Very simple, but not folk.
- In this life, we are looking for "our" place, "our" people. So, not as a routine curtsey. The first time I heard you on the air, I thought you had found each other like a tandem, and I had found "my" station.
- We really wanted it. You see, we have been working with different artists for more than twenty years. On one side of the microphone are them, on the other are their admirers. And we are the blotters through which all these feelings passed. At concerts, on the air. Different people, different attitudes towards them. And we understood perfectly well that the listener can think up a character, actions, even sometimes a person as a whole, which are not at all characteristic of the object he is thinking about. Therefore, the success of Kamtugeza, which a certain part of the audience has, is not because we are sparkling humorous and mega erudite. It's just that we are both self-sufficient and not afraid to make mistakes. And those people who are with us understand this. They understand that they are the same sapiens as they are – not better, not worse, not higher, not lower. I'm absolutely sure that many Roks listeners know dozens of times more about some bands than I do. So this is definitely not an intelligence competition, not an IQ championship. It's just that those who listen to us find some kind of consonance. We think in similar categories, we have read the same books, so if we do not agree, it is not mentally, but with something separate. We have a related system of values.
- Did you have a chance to catch a "star"?
-Of course) I don't know about Sonya, she seems to be completely devoid of this problem, but I did. I worked on the air for six months and decided that was it. Chicks began to call, offering to date...
-An indicator, however))
- And what else? Name me another))) He is gone. Fans call - so that's it, you're cool. And for some time I lived in a completely moronic illusion that I was "talented", "special". But the same listeners quickly combed my hair, after a while making it clear that there are still such reserves... I took away two very important things from this episode: you must always remain one of your own, for whom you already belong and not pretend to be God knows what, and on the other hand, not be afraid of not being liked. I have never been a folk or pseudo-people, for the broad masses – this is not my thing at all. And I don't read criticism about it – firstly, I'm suspicious, I worry and don't like it, and secondly, I don't have a better critic than myself. Maybe someone justifiably believes that I am vulgar, stupid, laughing loudly and out of place, and so on. I agree – like any other person, I don't always laugh well, I don't always come up with good jokes, and sometimes it happens that I should have said it, and not kept silent. Or vice versa. But in general, I think that I leave behind a feeling of a living person. Certainly not speaking according to the given patterns. And this is what remains in the bottom line. I know for sure that I love this business. I love people who listen to rock 'n' roll, who know how to go mad, go crazy in a good way. Just like I don't like boring and dull people
- Broadcasting, producing, organizing concerts - which of this list do you like to do the most?
- Most of all I love the air. I will stay as long as I am needed. It is very important to catch the moment here, because there is no more pathetic and flawed spectacle than some young daddy who is trying to be fashionable and keep the wave when everything has already galloped forward. Now this is flourishing on Russian television - for some reason, they keep the faces of the century before last. I understand that I have to pay a pension. But for this there is the Nostalgia channel. Here you sit on it and talk about the 80s, wooden toys and unwashed fruits. As Seva Novgorodtsev said: "In the past, the air was cleaner, and the cabbage soup was more sour." Go back there, to the acidic environment. I hope that I will be able to catch the point when I cease to be adequate in relation to the moment.
- As for faces, I think it's not so much about age...
- Of course, I'm not talking about faces in terms of photos. Just sour. Sleepy. The age factor is not so important, I remember Gurvich in the RTR project "Old Apartment". He was fat, far over a hundred, unkempt. He spoke, wildly croaking, like Lenin. At first, it was difficult to make out the words. But he was so smart and talented in what he was doing on stage that five minutes passed and you didn't notice it anymore. And talking heads with beautiful hairstyles, hairstyles, straight shoulders, were genetic garbage against his background. Although he was a set of all the wrongs.
- Does talent still exist? Or do you just need to plow?
- Of course, there is. But I don't have it. And I know for sure that I am a plowman. Everything is through the ass, after 157 times.
- Where does such purposefulness come from?
- Yes, there is none. I just want to do it. I can't even formulate the concept of purposefulness. And there has never been a "I'll go and do it anyway" in my life. I'll go and do it. And that's it. There were no overcoming. The biggest overcoming in working on the radio is when the alarm clock rings for the first time, and you need to be transported from one reality to another in these three minutes. All. This is the biggest problem that I have in my relations with the radio business. Get up for work in the morning. Everything else is absolutely fine with me. And working moments – some kind of mess in the program department with advertising, all departments run around and yell that they are the most important in this life – still superficial. This is the life that exists in any team - in the editorial office, in the publishing house. Because the greatest value of any good media business is the people who work in it.
What is Radio? It seems to be some big money, something big, airy, and the switch was cut off for us - and that's it. We are gone. Therefore, the value of a radio station, a TV channel is people. How to estimate the cost of a talented presenter? Continuous empiricism, epistemology, sophisms and blah-blah-blah.
- There are no specifics
- Formulate it for me. Here is the wedding. One will ask for a hundred dollars, the other for ten thousand. Why? And on the swing. And the whole criterion. This is not the number of man-hours spent on the production of studs and nuts. This is the power of the word and the price of the word.
- Who does Sergey Kuzin undertake to produce?
- I took Erika...
- Why her?
- She is a talented person. Ukrainian-Ukrainian. On the other hand, it produces sound in a very Western way. She has a lot of subtones, I've always liked that, she's all like that – not Soviet. One of the best vocalists in the country. This is not my opinion, it is an expert opinion. Textured. A good girl.
- Textured - there are no questions here. But it is not rock that performs
- Ahh, that's what you mean. Yes, I just love good music. Good from my point of view. It doesn't have to be rock music. I enjoy Dalida, Joe Dassin, Celentano. I can ride to Boney M in the mood, singing along with Farrell. Why not? These are the sounds I grew up with. Moreover, I do not understand at all the guys who deliberately deprive themselves of such a variety of colors. And what about jazz? Yes, there are a lot of cool cool things in pop music. I don't formulate rock 'n' roll for myself as a style. The same Lady Gaga gives out real rock and roll. In the way of life, in the shock. She's a pianist. I just found myself in such a musical way. The same Beyoncé, who is an apologist for pop music, is a gorgeous vocalist. A bunch of live musicians work with her on stage, each of whom can give odds to many of the rockers in the ability to play their musical instrument. Therefore, it is fussy and pointless to sit and argue what is better: prog-rock, psychedelic or something else. There are musical criminals, I would say, criminals: Mikhailov, Razin with his "Tender May". The horror that invaded our reality killed live music in the Soviet Union, when "plywood" appeared and people were allowed to perform to it. Instantly, from the numerous Houses of Culture, live ensembles that were in them at the rates disappeared. And they were the humus on which the most talented musicians who were always in the vastness of the Soviet Union were raised. And as soon as all these "Mai", "Strelki", "Belki" began to scratch eight concerts a day, we came to the conclusion that we do not need to make any effort on ourselves - even chewing - to learn this music. A wave of texts, simple as a moo, a wave of pentatonic scales, mountains of this manure, have formed a terrible Slavic pop heritage today. Therefore, a person who wants to jump out, to blow up something like this is a freak. And he doesn't sell anything
- Probably, there was some kind of stratification. You can find enough like-minded people, but someone chooses rock, classics, someone chooses Mikhailov. Some books — some TV series...
- You know, we are grumbling now. Because we grew up in the same environment, in the absence of these series, and there are different series – the same Americans do great things...
-I agree. The same House of Cards...
- Yes, yes, yes, yes. And the same Breaking Bad, and all sorts of things about life. This sword of Damocles in the form of a scythe Veronica Castro just hangs above us. Elementarily, we must admit that now...
- The time is different...
-Here. The multiplication table is known by the age of thirteen...
- The need has just died out...
-Namely. I don't think that modern people are more flawed than we are. They are deeper, smarter...
- Just different. I didn't mean that they are flawed))
-Think so. Defective – in our understanding: "in our time...")
-yes))And as soon as I reached some age milestone - and off we went))
-Yes yes. And I still can't understand why I was given "Crime and Punishment" in the 9th grade. I understood him at the age of 35. Maybe at 30. But certainly not at school. I remember sitting there and could not understand: some Raskolnikov, some grandmother... Take and pull the brains of the drunken gambler Fyodor Mikhailovich on a 15-year-old boy, who owes everything, with his complexes, diseases. And this bucket is on my head...
- And on top of the cherry in the form of Nastasya Filippovna...
-Here. Yes. Her for what?)) That's why I'm not worried – everything will be fine
- Why, after leaving Belarus, did you choose Ukraine?
- I had two options - Russia or Kiev. And I served in Kherson and Odessa from 85 to 91. Then, from the late 90s, he often went to train Ukrainian radio operators on Internews, conducted classes on the radio software product and so on. He fell in love with Kyiv. According to Internews, I was accommodated in all sorts of good hotels - either on Vozdvizhenka, or on Andreevsky, or somewhere else. I liked it all. He made friends. And I have never lived in Russia. Moreover, when I came on vacation from Germany, I didn't like everything, it was a wild problem. I didn't want to leave Germany, but how? - Parents have a vacation. And for me, the holidays were a curse. There are so many interesting things in Germany, and here you have to go, visit relatives, some kind of drinking, miserable dancing on dance floors. Accordingly, there remained – probably wrong – but this is the idea of Russia. And I never wanted to live either in Moscow or in Nizhny. Well, I just didn't want to, and that's it. And Kyiv of the three Slavic capitals, no matter how dirty and broken it is, is still the most European. And the kindest. Despite the fact that I love Minsk and consider Belarus my homeland, Kiev is kinder. Absolutely. And more creative. In general, I like him. And when I received an offer from Kyiv, I agreed without hesitation, because I wanted to be here myself. Then, at the first opportunity, I received permanent residence and have been a citizen of Ukraine for five years.
- Were the options of Canada, the States not considered at all?
-Why? Inwardly, I was considered, I am quite cosmopolitan, I feel calm in any country in the world, but... I really hope that the insanity that surrounds us will end. And I want to live in Kyiv. I grew up here. Although, I do not rule out anything - anything can happen, because I have already changed countries and continents in my life more than once. And I love America very much, too.
- All or in places?
- Of course, not all of them, I haven't been everywhere. But I love the States. I love New York, San Francisco.
- Atmosphere, something else?
- Who knows. One and all. As soon as you know what you love for, then you have calculated. And this is pragmatism. That's when you don't understand, and it shouldn't be like that, but it is, that's it. There are a lot of flaws, a lot of things wrong, but all together add up to love.
-I see it. Why do you like this music, perfume, design? Yes, it's easier to kill than to explain)
- One hundred percent. And the attitude towards Europe is calm. My daughter is in London. An insanely beautiful city, which is more than two thousand years old, one of the cradles of rock and roll, the citadel of everything stylish. Well, cool, yes. Great. But I look at it as if it were someone else's. But the American expanses - yes. With their people, who, by the way, are similar to us, especially those who live in the upstate - dobyr, simple, somewhere naïve people. Or maybe I was just lucky there with friends and acquaintances.
- What is family for you?
- I love my children very much. They are all from different mothers - it just so happened. I am happy that the children are with me - they love each other, come, communicate. Dasha is in London, Zhenya finished his studies in Budapest, now he is still in Minsk, but he will go somewhere on his career business, the princess is growing up in Kyiv. And what about the family? Due to my gouging, I somehow did not seriously think about it, but perhaps this is such a cocoon. That's probably how it will be more honest. I'm hiding in it. Especially now, after dad is gone, when mom is with me. We have all kinds of dogs, cats, fish there... In this sense, I am not a rock'n'roller at all. Sex, drags, rock 'n' roll - all this happened, but ended a long time ago. I know this so well, I've gone through this with my alcohol trips, that when I hear threatening carts "now as soon as we give soot"... What kind of soot are you going to give there? Everything will end with a sore head and waking up who knows where. And it's called cool? It's cool – when the child smiles, the wife's eyes shine, when the mother is alive, when the dog licks the nose. I have a lot of friends who live differently — and healthy. I love them too. They are just different, but also cool, reliable and all that. We ride motorcycles - everyone has their own reasons for this. I also came up with some kind of story for myself. Although I really like the company in which I do it. Everyone is different, self-sufficient. In general, it is difficult for non-self-sufficient people to use the motorcycle. In general, family for me is definitely not some bells and whistles from a textbook on Russian speech. Here, I reason, trying to answer myself - I don't have any formulas for this case) Oh! And I really want to go home. Always
- Do you often have to "go to fear"?
- It's scary in war. When they shoot at you, too
- And what about life situations in which you are scared?
- Well, I don't do anything so extreme. I was in the army when I got to Baku. But this is all associated with a banal fear for their lives.
- And not a threat to life? "I'm afraid to do something"?
-Aaa. This is what I overcome, it happened. I jumped with a parachute several times - and I'm still afraid
- So this is also a threat to life
- When I jumped from this fucking bungee. If that chick hadn't been standing behind, I would have run away. Otherwise, it's inconvenient. I am standing on this platform, in my head "how to get off, it's a shame". And jumped. But this is such idiotic childishness. I won't jump a second time. What the hell do you need
- About motivation. Or whatever you want to call it. It seems that so much has already been done, but still – there are new sections, new programs, new projects, somewhere, for sure, it passes with a "muzzle on the table"...
- Stopudov. But I want to. I just want to - and that's it. If you want to play music, you start playing. There were also things that were not brought by me. I always wanted, but I was embarrassed to ask my friends to play a role in the theater. It seemed to me the height not even of impudence, but of idiocy. I need to study, but I can't do anything, and so on. Therefore, when the director himself suggested to me head-on, he played in "Dinner with a Jerk" for a whole year. He probably played, but I wanted it so much, plunged into it with such pleasure... Full houses and an unreal high. Here! By and large, I am looking for pleasure in life. And masturbation is not a crime, but somehow boring))
- And what does Sergey Kuzin want from life most of all now?
- So that my mother would live longer. Dad is no longer there. So far, she's fine, no problems, but I don't want to grow up so much... She will soon be 80, and I really hope that she will be 90 and 100. Yesterday evening I came around 10 pm:
Where have you been?
- Mom, I'm 52 years old!))Where have I been?! I was at work!
-Where is. You will. Was. I'll tell Alina now that you came late
- Mom, Alina is still at work herself))
And this is happiness. Wild happiness. Unreal. So that Alina smiles. For Arisha to be healthy. And everything else is no longer important to me. I was fed up with all sorts of awards, certificates, passing stages, large stadiums. All this is great and this is my life. But, if we talk about desires, I would exchange everything. Ten years ago, maybe even five, I wouldn't say so, but now it's the most important desire. So that my mother was alive.
