"Doctor, I feel tired all the time...", "My stomach grows even if I drink only water!", "Why do I wake up broken and exhausted?". In 37 years of medical practice, I hear these complaints every day. Eight out of ten of my patients over fifty had one common "enemy" that they didn't even know existed. The paradox is that they use this product voluntarily, being sure of its harmlessness. It destroys the brain, hits the blood vessels, blocks fat burning and deprives you of proper sleep.
After fifty, the vessels gradually lose their elasticity. It's a natural process, like skin that loses its elasticity. But instead of taking care of them, people "add fuel to the fire" every day. This product acts like gasoline for inflamed blood vessels. It provokes inflammation of the walls, thickens the blood, and disrupts pressure regulation.
Every second of my patients with hypertension is a person who consumes this product daily and does not consider it something dangerous. "It's just a habit," they think. But it is habits that make up heart attacks. If you feel heaviness in the back of your head, tinnitus, the appearance of "stars" in your eyes, do not write it off as age. These are signals for action.
Visceral fat on the abdomen grows gradually: at first, the belt stops fastening to the usual hole, then it becomes difficult to bend over for the laces, and then shortness of breath, night sweats and a heart working with overload.
Imagine: you put this product on a plate, and it seems to bypass the stomach, immediately going to the fat reserves. It gives empty calories, does not saturate, but only increases appetite. It triggers an "insulin swing", forcing the body to store fat for a rainy day.
After fifty, a good night's sleep becomes the most important condition for the restoration of the heart and blood vessels. But our "friend" in quotation marks is doing everything to deprive you of this resource. It causes a sharp spike in sugar, disrupts the deep phases of rest, and prevents the brain from clearing itself at night. And you wake up in the middle of the night, spinning, can't go back to sleep. Does this picture sound familiar? This is a direct road to memory impairment, anxiety and excess weight.
It is in almost every house, it is in the cabinet in the kitchen. It seems harmless and even cozy. Many consider it a "folk remedy for fatigue" and add it to tea or coffee to cheer up.
Sugar is not just sweetness. In tea or coffee, it deals a double blow: caffeine itself increases blood pressure, and sugar adds a surge of insulin. As a result, you are awake for twenty minutes, and then there is a loss of energy, anxiety and extra calories that go straight to belly fat.
Sweet pastries are even worse: sugar plus trans fats, plus refined flour. Sweets for the night? Congratulations – there will be no deep sleep. Soda and "natural" juices are real sugar bombs, regardless of what is written on the package. Even one spoonful of sugar in tea three times a day prevents blood vessels from recovering and disrupts sleep.
I am not calling for a life without joy. Joy must be intelligent. Here are some simple substitutions to help your body recover without drastic restrictions.
If you have read this far, then health is really important to you. I am not calling for becoming an ascetic and giving up sugar forever. But try to remove it for at least a month. For the sake of the experiment, for the sake of myself, for the sake of my heart and sleep.
And then compare: do you sleep better, has your blood pressure normalized, is it easier to move? If you feel changes, this will be the main argument. No pills. No ads. Only you and your health.
