Spyker will release a hybrid crossover with the engine of the Koenigsegg

Dutch company Spyker will release a hybrid crossover with eight-cylinder engine of the Koenigsegg. As told glava brand Victor Muller, the new product will be a continuation of the project D12 Peking to Paris.





Conceptual crossover D12 Peking-to-Paris was introduced in 2006. Initially it was assumed that the production version, which the firm has collected 200 pre-orders will be equipped with six-liter W12 engine manufactured by Volkswagen. Later it appeared that the model will get "eight" with a mechanical supercharger.

In 2014 Spyker has been declared bankrupt, but in 2015 the bankruptcy was canceled and the company resumed its activities. In 2016 appeared information about the plans of the brand to release all-electric SUV or hybrid new product, the default crossover was equipped with a conventional internal combustion engine.





Koenigsegg has estimated the resource of their motors in 200 years.According to Christian von Koenigsegg, "eight" brand can withstand up to 1500 horsepower

Now, according to Mueller, the firm decided to implement a hybrid system with eight-cylinder engine Koenigsegg. At the Geneva motor show in 2017, it was announced that the "Spicery" will be equipped with the Swedish V8. The first model of the Spyker with this motor was the Preliator C8 Roadster Spyder.

However, the upcoming crossover should keep the aluminum platform design Lotus. Victor Muller called the model "advanced" and "one of the most beautiful cars of its kind". He also noted that the technical features already installed. Perhaps it will premiere at the Geneva motor show in 2018.





After the launch of the crossover Dutch brand plans to release a "budget" sports car with a six-cylinder engine. It will be a continuation of the B6 Venator concept, shown in 2013. published
