Military doctors save the lives of wounded US soldiers in Afghanistan.
Due to the fact that US forces are trying to take control of the situation in Kandahar and Helmand in the past week the number of dead soldiers has increased significantly. Medical aid to the wounded required both American and Afghan troops. June was the deadliest month, international forces lost 103 people, including 60 Americans. By mid-July, NATO troops have lost 57 people, 42 of them Americans.
As soon as hostilities broke out, medical teams, along with the hospital, which was located in Afghanistan, moved to a NATO base.
