Translation and dubbing video MARS ONE WAY

Several weeks ago, the network has video interviews with participants in the selection for the project MARS ONE. We are inspired by translations, decided to announce this video.
I have to say that it was the first experience dubbing the interview, and as it turned out, it's not so easy. But, first things first.

Having little experience in dubbing feature films, in the interview, we are faced with "unexpected" problem, it turns out, real people and actors in movies - are two big differences, and they say, respectively, in different ways.

Huge, just catastrophically large, the pauses between words and sentences. With our desire to make the most approximate by emotions and thus reliable from a literary point of view of translation, these pauses crazy.

It is difficult enough to be true to the source and at the same time comply with such large gaps, because the words in English and Russian languages have different lengths, hence, are pronounced differently. Speaking quickly and trying to get into the timing, it is possible to miss the necessary emotion.
But just say, the task is not impossible, just a little patience and perseverance, and the result will not take long.

Efforts

Translation: two of Person 1:00
Postproduction: Four of Person 4:00
Cleaning the sound mix: one person- 3:00

If there is interest, we will write a detailed article on the example of other scientific interview - about the process, preparation, setup, use of equipment, and minor tweaks.

And now the actual result:
