This is an unusual place in the south-western China's Yunnan Province. Stone Forest was formed at these locations more than 200 million years ago.
Previously, there was the seabed on which are deposited thick layers of limestone. But as a result of tectonic movements stones rose much above sea level and water and wind centuries betrayed these stones so unusual shape.
