The video of the metro police learned 44-year-old forger Dmitry Parshin, which at that time was wanted for 14 years for counterfeiting money. The second assault party was his 15-year-old son Andrew, he was under the supervision of law enforcement officials as interested in nationalism and engaged in a knife fight at the leader of the movement "Russian" Dmitry Demushkina.

In theory, 15-year-old Andrew could avoid criminal prosecution. Responsibility for "hooliganism" comes with 14 rather than 16 years, but only if there are aggravating circumstances - such as a group of persons committing a crime. Parshin Sr. has partially admitted his guilt. In an interview with reporters, he did not deny that the Dagestani shot. However, he confirmed the version that accompanied each Latipov. "They are clearly trying to attack me - looked carefully through the reflection in the glass," - said the detainee. According Parshina, when one of the men approached him, he pulled out a gun, just to threaten, but soon "fell off the rails." According to the detainee, his actions have to be qualified as exceeding the limits of self-defense.
Parshin said that the nationality of the enemy for him does not matter. According to him, he would not attack the first person, regardless of his nationality. And if the aggressive intentions of Russian came up to him, he would have acted in the same way as in the case Latipov. Parshin also admitted that he had previously been convicted - 18-year-old in the army he was found guilty of stealing; and he says that in fact did not steal anything, the victim of slander.
