Promising Artists of 2013
BBC is not bad advise. Now it is difficult for me to imagine, but when I was preparing a similar position a year ago, I did not know any of the fifteen artists represented in the list. Today, the song of at least one third of them are always in my playlist.
And let last year's winner - Michael Kiwanuka - remains to be seen and not heard, but Azalea Banks recorded two duets with Lady Gaga for a new album last, A $ AP Rocky spoke with Rihanna at the ceremony MTV VMA, Skrillex won three Grammy Awards and over nominated for three more, the group traveled to Spector tour with Florence and the Machine and now stands at the biggest music festivals, and the debut album Frank Ocean's "Shannel Orange» is included in all the ratings of the best albums of the year.
And now once again on the BBC picked up the list of the super-stars of tomorrow - «Sound of 2013", the full name is unknown, which I present to your attention.
This year, the compilers of the list once again been criticized for the fact that with all the limitations, which can be found in last year's post, the participants vote still called the singers, who in any case in the coming year preparing for his debut album, and who work in under the direction of the mainstream, not just original talent that, for example, spread their music online. In response, the BBC said:
No doubt the list will cause controversy, but more importantly, it will provide an opportunity for a breakthrough artists who stand out from the ever-growing crowd, and this should only be glad
