On the one hand, someone has to provide for the family. The salary allows you to feed, clothe, wear at least two adults and children in addition. Keeping the house in order is also work. So where's the payment for it?

Hello, financial addiction, let me get to the point. Tell me, is it normal that I, as a woman, as a mother of two children, have to ask my husband for money to buy some long-planned things? We have sort of abolished serfdom. But the fact remains that a woman in modern marriage is like a disenfranchised servant who doesn’t even have to be paid! Why not? She has no choice.

I’m not going to say that my husband is cool at work, not at all. He's been working with his hands, making repairs for, like, 9 years. The bosses are enough, the money is paid good. There's enough food and clothes. Sometimes we even go with the children to rest. Infrequently, but a fact. But that's it. I should literally beg for funds, for example, to buy jewelry, cosmetic procedures, but if I want to go with a friend in a cafe to sit – so nothing!



We are not a poor family, but we are not rich either. Strong middle class. Expensive purchases, such as furniture or cars, are discussed with the husband. But the little things that life, as we know, consists of — this question still does not suit me. Even the kids have pocket money. Buy something at school or at a store near the house. Why is that? Because we have two boys growing up. The spouse wants them to learn how to manage their own finances. Isn't that funny?

Every day I get up early and make breakfast. My children, my husband and I. Then I wake the boys up to school, make sure they don't forget, dress and comb. Then we have breakfast. After that, the husband brings the children to school, and he goes to work. At this time I have cleaning, washing, cooking or going to the store. That's how most of the day goes. Then I do homework with the guys, and in the evening dinner and, of course, various housework. In the evening, by the way, our dad is resting. Wash the dishes? No, it's hard for him.



You know, take the same cleaning. People get paid good money for this. Payment is hourly. And I also have to cook food, wash, iron... How many professions does a modern wife have? At the same time, I must remain a woman and a caring mother. Although with such a work schedule, sometimes all feelings for your man disappear. Sometimes you have to spend time with your own children! What do you do when you’re tired like a dog?

And don't tell me about modern technology that makes life easier! Washed things need to be dried. These are clothes for a family of four. Again, cooking. It used to be: cooked borscht or porridge and eat it for a week. Things are different now. Children will not eat what they do not like. Dad gave them money, so they'll go to the nearest pizzeria or even order delivery. Even under the table go, and modern gadgets for them are clearer than the letters in the alphabet.



The husband can also sometimes send a message about what he would like to eat for dinner. What am I, a robot? If it's cooked, you should eat it. I'm good at it, no one's been poisoned yet. We do not have a smart vacuum cleaner, and we do not need it, and the dog will stun from fear. Spitz, less kitten. On the other hand, wipe all the furniture from dust otherwise than manually, still will not work. So cleaning, even in theory, has not yet been simplified. And to clean the kitchen, you need to spend a whole day, not to mention the bathroom.

So your modern technique doesn't work. Just in words. Where do you take your time? Not to lie on the couch, but just to update your appearance? Nobody likes women in robes, with dirty hair and overweight. Right? So why not give women enough time for themselves and enough money? Men take care of cars every day. And they don't spare good gasoline, and they change the oil, and so on. And the woman is eternal. It won't break. Is that financial dependence? I think so.



I asked my friends if they were the same. Turns out I am. At least it was. But one husband realized his mistake and after a normal conversation, without quarrels and tantrums, began just once a month to allocate her a certain amount of money. The other had pretty much the same thing. The only difference is that in their situation they almost divorced. At the last minute, the husband gave up and admitted his mistake. Why bring this up?

My high school friend lives like me. No money, no self-respect, no tongue on his shoulder. They have absolutely bad things there: three children, the man does not pull, they do not even go anywhere on vacation. Well, the result is appropriate. Their children at school are considered the first hooligans, the mother already does not fit in the robe, and the father kind of began to take on the chest. Is that normal, I have to ask? But what to do - there is no order in the house, so there is nowhere.



I would like to appeal to the men who read this, if there are any: pay attention to the needs of your wives. A woman will not be happy just because she has children and a husband. We are human beings, and we have our own desires and ambitions. While you can go out with friends on Friday to relax, we have work going on 24/7. That’s right, because at night a small child can wake up and you need to be ready to lull him again. What about you? The work is over and the rest of the day is free.
