What paid for the success of the king of comedy Robin Williams and what made him commit suicide

It is with great tenderness that I remember movies with my favorite actor. Robin Williams: actor, comedian and just an incredibly good person. That's how I remember him. Today I want to share with you the most memorable moments of his creative path. I also want to talk about depression and why you should be afraid of it.

Robin Williams: actor, comedian and just a good man Robin was born into a very wealthy family of a Ford manager and model. Little Robbie already had several siblings: they were born in previous marriages of parents. Curiously, such family ties did not bring much joy to the adult actor. As a child, Williams was haunted by loneliness: his parents were too busy with their own affairs. Being still quite a baby, Robin gained excess weight, because of which he was very shy and did not communicate with his peers.

GettyImages Moddy became incredibly popular in high school. It was not because of the financial situation of his parents. Oh no! Robin got something cooler from his mom: a brilliant sense of humor. It was this, as well as excellent acting skills, that helped the guy find fame.

The future star studied in New York, but a friend advised Robin to look for happiness in Los Angeles. It was there that Williams began acting as a stand-up comedian. The young man managed to charm with his charisma from the first minute of the performance. People couldn't stop laughing and were in high spirits for a few days after visiting the comedian's club.

The artist began to be invited to various humorous shows, although he also did not stop performing in clubs. In one of these institutions, the humorist was noticed by the director who shot the series “Happy Days”. Williams was asked to play the alien Mork. The character was so much liked by the audience that the creators of the show decided to make a separate series about him. America loved Mork with all her heart.

Popularity, depression and the end of life in the Seventies became the peak of popularity for Robin Williams. The film with his participation “Popeye” became one of the most popular in those years. Unfortunately, then there was a very tragic period in the life of the actor: his close friend John Belushi passed away. Williams tried to drown the grief in a bottle and in things stronger. Fortunately, he became interested in cycling in time, which saved him from all sorts of addictions.

To the great regret of all his fans, almost all his life Robin suffered from severe clinical depression. He tried to escape her through a relationship. However, neither the first marriage to actress Valeria Velardi, nor subsequent alliances with Marsha Graces and Susan Schneider could help the artist with this.

Asphyxiation was the cause, but everyone knew that the actor himself had terminated his existence in our world. This loss was a huge tragedy for everyone who loved Robin.

In conclusion, I want to say a few words about depression. I think it’s easy to believe that Williams had a lot of money, friends and a lot of fans. However, all this was not a guarantee of a healthy psyche. In many cases, the cause of depression is not specific events, but metabolic disorders in our brain.

GettyImages Such people should definitely undergo psychotherapy with good specialists. They also need the support of their families. In no case should a person’s mental state be devalued, even if he is financially stable and often smiles in public. Money is not a guarantee of happiness and lack of loneliness. Be attentive to your loved ones and take care of their mental health.
