Toyo: history and brand technologies

The engineers of this Japanese company in their work apply the most advanced technologies and developments, which are immediately tested at their own test sites. The creation of new models implies the use of special computer programs that allow the tire to be adapted as accurately as possible to specific conditions. And it is no coincidence that choosing Toyo rubber at tireshop.ua/shini/toyo, you will not find universal options: the company simply does not produce them.

How it all began
The company was founded in the last year of the war, in 1945, in Itama. The owners of the production successfully competed in the domestic market and were actively looking for partners in the foreign market. By the mid-50s, a representative office was opened in the United States: first in southern California, and then in the north of the continent.

In 1988, the company's specialists developed another know-how: a computer program was created that allowed to optimize the tire configuration in such a way that it would fit as accurately as possible for a specific car model and type of road surface. By 2001, the software had been improved: now it became possible to predict how a car, “shod” in a certain tire, would behave under given conditions.

Today, there are official sales offices of the concern in more than 100 countries, tires in Toyo online stores, due to their high quality and affordable cost, are sold out rather quickly. Tire factories:

  • Malaysia (2013): Largest enterprise, producing 5 million pieces per year, in Taiping;
  • Japan: the cities of Sendai and Kuwan, Itamo;
  • USA;
  • PRC;
  • Canada;
  • Germany;
  • Netherlands;
  • Taiwan;
  • Great Britain;
  • Australia;
  • Serbia (launch in 2022): Indzhia, closest to Ukraine.

Technologies
All of them are patented and are currently available in the tire industry to many manufacturers. The innovation is based on T-Mode technology, which is a computer-aided design of a product and then tested on a simulator using a computer. The calculations take into account climatic conditions, technical parameters of the car, driving style and other factors. Other technologies are also used:

  1. E-Balance: modeling of resistance to wear, noise, handling. Tires created using this technology have an increased service life, increased sidewall strength, and a tread pattern adapted to specific road conditions.
  2. Silent Wall: a special way of applying a finely knurled tread pattern. As a result, the noise level is reduced to a minimum: the air flow between the grooves follows the optimal "route".
  3. Nano Balance: Helps to develop a compound based on the chemical composition of its components, as well as their interactions at the molecular level. The result is a series of Nanoenergy summer tires with very low rolling resistance and 23% shorter braking distances than conventional tires.
  4. Advanced Tire Operation Module - А.Т.О.М. Proprietary technology "Toyo", implemented at all branch plants. Its essence is a seamless connection of tire elements with simultaneous control of the thickness of the sidewalls at all assembly stages.
  5. Three-dimensional sipes are designed to reduce wear and ensure reliable contact with the road in any weather.

Today, in the online rubber stores in the assortment, you can find 18 model lines of summer and winter tires with 62 standard sizes for cars, trucks, buses and special equipment.
