What thoughts a man has when his days are numbered

How do you know what's coming? life-end? It is unlikely that anyone will make such terrible predictions. However, some people feel their immediate departure.

I have heard many stories about how unexpected knowledge comes to a person on the eve of the last journey. Take at least the famous story about the philosopher and writer Gregory Skovoroda.

When he felt that his life was coming to an end, he washed himself, dressed in clean clothes, lay down and calmly walked away. Where this comes from is completely unclear.

Almost all people feel the end soon. And I think we all have that story. For example, my grandfather suffered for a long time. One day he asked everyone to come to his house to say goodbye.

Everyone was surprised. Such a gathering of relatives they did not often. They said they had a good time and Grandpa laughed. Everyone wished him health and a hundred years of life. And he just squinted and smiled. And the next day he was gone.

Or I once heard a story about a mother-in-law who kept calling and complaining about her health. But one day she woke up and began to enjoy life, and everything around her liked. I asked my son to go get some pickles. He came back and his mother died.

A lot of people feel something like that on the doorstep. However, everyone treats it in their own way. Some are pessimistic and complain a lot. Someone accepts the world as it really is.

I want to give an interesting quote from Victoria Tokareva, a famous screenwriter and writer. She worked on such imperishable films as “Mimino”, “Gentlemen of luck”, “Walking a dog on the piano”.

She wrote in her book, “You can be content and dissatisfied with any life.” But as long as you're not happy with her, she passes.

I think that's the truth. What do you think?

A terrible omen or a bright sense of liberation from earthly fetters? We will not decide for the readers. It is all about the relationship of man to life. Do you know similar stories? If yes, then share them in the comments.
