How to choose the right TV: characteristics and additional functions

A modern TV serves as a cinema, allowing the viewer to enjoy watching a favorite movie at home. To create the most comfortable conditions during such a "movie show", you have to choose a device with decent parameters. Since Samsung was and remains one of the best manufacturers of electronics, today you can buy a Samsung TV at the best price.

Criteria for choosing technology Despite the huge selection of modern models, it is quite difficult to find the perfect TV that meets the principle of "price-quality". Based on the following criteria, you can choose a decent model at a good price.
  1. Resolution. This characteristic indicates the number of pixels in the frame. The more pixels, the better the image looks. The 8K TV (7680x4800) is especially popular, but this option is more suitable for large rooms.
  2. Screen diagonal. It is often selected depending on the size of the room. So, a 32-inch TV is perfect for a kitchen or small bedroom. In the living room, it is better to place a larger screen with a diagonal of 40 to 50 inches.
  3. HDR technology. Indicates support for an expanded range of shades. A powerful processor is needed to handle this color range, which is why HDR is found on almost all new 4K TVs. Legacy models do not support this technology.
  4. The matrix. All new generation models are equipped with LCD displays - LED, QLED and OLED. The famous LCD screens are already out of production, so be careful or you risk purchasing an outdated model.
If you plan to not only watch videos, but also connect other devices, then you will need additional interfaces. So, the HDMI connector allows you to connect a game console. A standard USB port is enough to open a flash drive.

Additional functions Smart TV technology provides the user with free access to the Internet, allowing you to watch your favorite movies online. You can also view photos and videos downloaded from mobile devices using this function.
Today, many models have received the TimeShift function, which allows you to pause TV programs. So, you can stop viewing for a certain time, and then resume it exactly from the point where you left off.
Particularly convenient is voice control, with which you can turn on and off the functions of the device by voice. The quality of the technology directly depends on the manufacturer, so not all modern TVs will "understand" you the first time.
