Kuwait petroleum Corporation launched a solar power

Solar plant designed to reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere and save thousands of barrels of oil, running in Kuwait, said the Executive Director of Kuwait petroleum Corporation Jamal Jaafar.





According to him, the project, called "Sadr 500" (Arabic Lotus), implemented in cooperation with partners from Spain. The stated capacity of 10 MW, half of the energy produced will go to meet the needs of the oil field "Umm al-Qadir", another 5 MW will be at the disposal of the Ministry of electricity and water of Kuwait.
