Artificial intelligence is the worst thing that can happen to humanity

 

Nobel laureate Stephen Hawking warns that humanity faces an uncertain future, when technology allows you to think independently and to adapt to variable environmental conditions.

According to physics, University of Cambridge, a sinister threat is brewing deep inside the technology laboratories of Silicon valley.

Artificial intelligence, disguised as helpful digital technology and self-driving cars, able to gain power and one day, it may mean the end for humanity.

"Success in creating technologies such as the film "Transcendence" with johnny Depp, will be the largest event in the history of mankind," he said. "Unfortunately, this also may be the last human achievement, if we do not learn how to avoid risks."

Hawking added: "Looking to the future, there are no fundamental limits to what can be achieved". The researcher noted that experts are not ready to be "bad" scenarios. "We all have to ask ourselves what we can do now to improve the chances of survival of mankind and to avoid risks."
