Transparent Verzasca

Verzasca River flows through the Swiss canton of Ticino. This river is considered to be the most transparent in the world and therefore it is very much appreciated by divers. It is not too deep - just 10-15 meters. But both the top and bottom can be seen incredibly beautiful landscapes, similar to separate fantasy world.








From the top of the dam Verzasca (height - 220 meters) once dived into the water Pierce Brosnan, when shots were created for the film "Golden Eye" (1995). Here in premium insurance jumping into the water (by the way, the place is considered one of the most extreme in the world).

Verzasca river length is only 30 kilometers, flows from the three-kilometer height of the mountains, feeding their famous waters of Lake Maggiore, which unites all tourist routes from Locarno, Zurich, Basel, Lucerne. The water in the river is warmed up to a maximum of 7 degrees, but some places relatively warm, and they can swim those who can not tolerate frost.



Water is low PH, and it does not survive or plants or fish. And thanks to the structure of water at a depth of rocks and soil are highlighted by special colors, emerald and aquamarine mostly.





On the banks of the river picturesque village nestled Corippus and Lavartetstso where there is a cozy and pretty baroque church.
