Zoology of the Future or the World After Man

Illustrations from the wonderful book by Desmond Morris "AFTER MAN. A ZOOLOGY OF THE FUTURE“. I can hardly convey the meaning of the book better than the author: "... The world of the future is described as a time traveler from our days, who traveled to the world of that time and studied its fauna. Such a traveler will know something about the life of modern animals, so that he will be able to describe what is happening with reference to the species of animals familiar to the reader. His report is written in the present tense, as if addressed to fellow time travelers who will travel to the same period and wish to explore the world for themselves. Sit back, dear time travelers, and enjoy the dramatic spectacle of the evolution of life on your planet."
