In this case, webcams much more than meets the common man: almost every volcano world now got its own surveillance system. It is clear that such a system is established not for idle pleasure: thanks to cameras scientists immediately find out if the volcano began to show activity.

An interesting point is that many cameras are open, you can connect to them through a global network.
