Volkswagen will return to the conveyor model 1950

In the summer of last year it was announced that the iconic Volkswagen Kombi van will be discontinued. Until now, its production remained in Brazil. However, local authorities in 2014 seriously toughened safety standards for new vehicles.

According to them, each machine must be equipped with front airbags and anti-lock brakes. To equip these technologies Kombi would be too costly and VW decided to stop its production.



Farewell to the car last December 20 when the assembly line in Sao Bernardo Campo came down to the last instance of the Kombi. But for a long time without a popular favorite could not do.
