The harm of GPS Navigator

Researchers from University College London claim that the Navigator acts as a distraction, not allowing his brain to process what he saw.



For the experiment, the scientists scanned the brains of volunteers while driving a car. They found out that drivers using GPS navigation, reduced activity in areas of the brain responsible for processing visual information.



The experts came to the conclusion that using the Navigator allows the driver to maintain the necessary concentration. For example, in the form of pedestrians, the brain of the driver ignores them, because it is busy processing the images on the GPS.
