The first nuclear weapons test in France

This photograph was taken in 1968 by French soldiers. Charge capacity of the first in a series of bomb "Canopus" is 2600 kilotons, which is approximately 20 times smaller than previously tested "king-bomb" in the USSR. Truly fascinating spectacle.
