The government decided to completely destroy the old Moscow in favor of elite housing. Today, a second attempt was made to demolish the estate Alexeyev on the street Bakhrushin in Moscow, and she succeeded. According to the defenders of historical monuments, the demolition of the building is illegal. Journalist and blogger Ilya Varlamov went to the site and see what is left of the 19th-century building.

At street Bakhrushin manor house located 11 ages 19-20, at various times belonged to a merchant Alexeyev, Sytov, Nemolyaeva, Schmidt and Stolyarov. Experts call the building one of the finest mansions Moskva River, a typical example of "the Moscow empire." Soon there will be built a wonderful glass hotel.

"According to our information, the Prosecutor General's Office should prohibit the construction site these days. Apparently, they (the builders) are also aware of this, and therefore began to conduct active operations to inflict more damage and then say: "Guys protect the ruins," - said one of the organizers of the rally in defense of the estate Artyom Khromov.



Activists blocked the road technique and it is not allowed to the site, it does not put the demolition. The two defenders were arrested this morning.



This is the second attempt this week to demolish the building - the first was made on July 21. Then the representatives of social movements advocating the preservation of the historical image of Moscow, dump trucks blocked the road, tried to drive into the territory of the estate Alexeyev. The police did not intervene.



Arhnadzora activists have applied to stage the stairs to the protection, under the law it was impossible to bear.
