Mercedes Ocean Drive Concept

The company Mercedes-Benz plans to launch a four-door convertible Ocean Drive into production. The prototype of the car was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January. A similar serial car will be available in early 2011. Reported by Motor Trend.

Serial car will be built on the platform of an elongated S-Class and will be equipped with twelve-5, 5-liter gasoline engine producing 510 horsepower. It is expected that Ocean Drive be delivered with other motors which are installed on the S-Class.

Mercedes-Benz Ocean Drive, which would cost about 120 thousand dollars, will have to compete with convertible Audi A7, which premiered as planned in 2011.
